On December 17, 2019, in the Amor restaurant in Kocani, a promotional press conference was held as part of the project "Our shared past - path to a common future".
The project "Our Common Past - Pathway to a Common Future" is funded by the INTERREG IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program between the Republic of Bulgaria - the Republic of Macedonia 2014-2020, in which the lead partner is the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, and the municipality of Goce Delchev appears as a project partner.
The press conference was attended by representatives of the two project partners, media, representatives of several municipalities in the East Planning Region, as well as representatives of the municipality of Goce Delchev. The project team presented the activities and goals of the project, as well as the representatives of the Center for Development of the East Planning Region and the municipality of Goce Delchev.
The project has had a significant impact on the joint presentation of the shared traditional and cultural heritage as a tool for the development of sustainable tourism in the cross-border region through the popularization of traditional values and cultural heritage. The project applies a collaborative innovative approach to tourism development and generates creative ideas in an inspiring and interactive atmosphere of shared events, creating a shared virtual space, constant exchange of ideas, experience and continuous accumulation of knowledge and skills to utilize intangible cultural heritage and of creative tourism services in support of the development of alternative forms of tourism.
The total value of the project is € 562,353.54 and will be implemented by mid-July 2021.
