Тhe 13th Session of the Council for Development of East Planning Region

On 30.1.2015 (friday), on Ponikva Ossogovo was held the 13th Session of the Council for Development of East Planning Region. The session was chaired by the President of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region Mr. Tony Tonevski. The session discussed the following important points on the agenda:

  1. Adoption of the report of the 12th Session of the Council for Development of East Planning Region, held on 01.12.2014 in Stip;
  2. Development of the Programme for development of  East Planning Region 2015-2019;
  3. Draft - Annual Action Plan 2015 for the implementation of the Programme for development of East Planning Region 2015 to 2019;
  4. Draft - Financial Plan for the Center for development of East planning region for 2015;
  5. Annual Report for the implementation of the Programme for development of the East planning region 2009-2014 for 2014;
  6. Consideration of regional and interregional proposal - projects for funding by the Cheme for financial support of East Planning region;

 

For the Council

Council for development of the planning regions is formed separately for each region.

Members in Council for development of the East planning region are the Mayors of the Units of local self-government in the region.

The Council is managed by president, who is elected by the Mayors, for a period of 2 years.

The Council for development of the East planning region does the following functions:

  • Organises and coordinates the activities for following and appraising the implementation of the planning documents for regional development;
  • Adopts the Programme for development of the planning region, with previous approval from the National Council for balanced regional development;
  • Adopts the annual action plan for implementation of the Programme for development of the planning region;
  • Establishes a list of project proposals for development of the planning region, annually; планскиот регион; 
  • Delivers proposals to the Bureau for regional development for identification of areas with specific development needs in frame on the planning region, in accordance with criteria with article 7 of this Law;
  • Assures coordination of the activities of the units of local self-government, associations of citizens, governmental agencies and institutions within the region which are working on regional development;
  • Initiates coordination between the units of local self-government and partners from private and civil sector concerning regional development issues;
  • Promotes cross-border cooperation with regions from other countries based on common interest; 
  • Performs other works in the area of regional development established by the Law;
  • Adopts annual report for implementation of the Programme for development of the planning region.
