On December 10, 2019 in the Cabinet of the Mayor of Stip was signed the agreement for mutual cooperation for realization of the project "Reduction of carbon footprint of Municipality Stip".

The Center for Development of the East Planning Region announces a call for young unemployed persons with permanent address in the municipalities within the East Planning Region, who have an entrepreneurial spirit and vision for starting their own business.

The purpose of the Public Call is to strengthen cooperation with the private sector by supporting start-up business ideas related to the development of eco-tourism and promoting the region as a tourism destination, in accordance with the East Planning Region Tourism Strategy with Action Plan 2016 -2025).

The procedure for selecting business ideas will be in phases. In the first phase, interested applicants should submit the business idea concepts electronically, with a brief description of the business idea, the location where it will be implemented, as well as potential users of the proposed service or product.

In the second pgase, the best business ideas will use technical support (business plan training and doing business). The selected applicants together with the experts will develop a business plan and a detailed description of the business idea.

In the third phase of selection, only sustainable and feasible business plans will be selected, and will receive financial support for implementation.

To be eligible for funding, proposed business ideas must be implemented in the East Planning Region.

The public call is open until 27.12.2019 at 2 pm, until all interested applicants are required to submit their business concepts.

The realization of the business ideas under this Public Call is supported by the Nature Conservation Program in North Macedonia - Phase 2, project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The Center for Development of East Planning Region continues to implement activities supported by the Nature Conservation Program in North Macedonia, a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

On 22^nd of November 2019 in Shtip was held the initial meeting for support of start-up businesses for development of eco-tourism and promotion of the East Planning Region as a tourist destination.

The twelfth session of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region was held on 20.11.2019 in the Municipality of Stip.

On November 13, 2019, in the premises of the Municipality of Karbinci, a contract was signed with the selected most favorable bidder Escavator-MK DOOEL Skopje for the realization of the project “Construction of a local road connection with the regional road R 2431, weekend settlement Vrteska, village Kepekelija and village Kalauzlija “.

On 04.11.2019, a contract was signed to perform works for "Reconstruction with adaptation of Multicultural Center in Kocani". The realization of this agreement is part of the project "Our Common Past - Path to a Common Future", funded by the INTERREG IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Republic of Bulgaria - Republic of Northern Macedonia 2014 - 2020.

An agreement was signed on September 4, 2019 for the implementation of the project "Cultural Bridge through the Ages".

The project "Cultural Bridge through the Ages" is funded under the INTERREG-IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of N. Macedonia 2014-2020, in which the Lead Partner is the National Habitat "Georgi Todorov 1885" from the Municipality of Belica, R. Bulgaria and the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, as second project partner.

The foreseen project activities should be implemented within a period of 24 months, until 03.09.2021.

The total value of the project is around 406,000 euros, of which the budget from the Center for Development of the East Planning Region for the realization of the foreseen activities is about 185,000 euros.
