The Regional Administration Blagoevgrad and the Center for development of the East planning region within the GREEN project from 29-30 May 2018 in Hotel "OMON" - Blagoevgrad, organized a two-day training on "Green infrastructure" attended by 40 participants, representatives from municipalities and public institutions within the Blagoevgrad and the East planning region.

The objective of the training was to enable participants to gain basic knowledge on green infrastructure, its role and importance for the regions. Through presentations of successful examples of already implemented projects in the field of "green infrastructure" from several regions in Europe, the participants had the opportunity to identify possible green infrastructure projects for their municipalities and analyze the benefits from them. At the same time, the participants were informed about the available funding programs for "green infrastructure" project proposals. This is the second training organized within the GREEN project.
