On 15.07.2019 in the municipality of Berovo was marked the beginning of the construction works for the realization of the project "Construction, arrangement and lighting of a pedestrian-cycling path on the river Bregalnica".

Besides the representatives from the Center for Development of the East Planning Region, the Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski and the Mayor of Berovo Zvonko Pekevski were present at the launch.

​The funds needed for realization of this project are provided through the Program for balanced regional development for 2019 in the amount of about 6 million denars by the Ministry of Local Self-Government - Bureau for regional development, while the rest in the amount of about 1 million denars are provided from the Budget of the Municipality of Berovo.

The deadline for completion of construction works is ending with October 2019, after which it is expected to get a completely arranged and illuminated pedestrian-bicycle path, installed urban equipment and a children's playground.

The realization of this project will contribute to enriching the tourist offer of the municipality of Berovo with additional contents that will provide better representation of this region as an attractive tourist destination.
