On May 27th, 2015, the Center for Development of East Planning Region signed an agreement for developing interactive web portal for investment in East Planning Region within the project "Establishment of Center for Support and Advisory Services for SMEs in East Planning Region".
The project is funded by the Ministry of Local Government and UNDP.
Based on the Law for Balanced Regional Development, as well as on the Program of the Government of Republic of Macedonia for balanced regional development in 2014, in order to increase the competitiveness of the planning regions by supporting small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship, were established Business Centers for Support and Advisory Services for SMEs within the existing centers for development of planning regions. One of these centers is established in the East Planning Region which should complement existing services aimed to the business sector in quality-expediency - applicability- increased menu of services and range of users.
The company which will work on production of an interactive web portal for investment in East Planning Region within the project "Establishment of Business Center for Support and Advisory Services for small and medium enterprises in the East Plannning Region" is a company for production, design and services PoliProekt DOO - Stip.
In order to realize this goal, significant activity within the projects is: "Development of an interactive web portal for investment in the East Planning Region."
The reason for the realization of this activity is to increase awareness and to present the potentials and capacities offered by the region, to ensure effective and efficient promotion of the region and investment, through the creation and establishment of functional interactive web portal. The interactive web portal will provide maximum support and upgrade the general promotion of the region to potential investors.
By obtaining timely and accurate information for the potential and the resources available in the region, industrial and economic zones, available "greenfield" and "brownfield" locations and incentives, investors would increase their interest and confidence for investment, and thus would provide faster economic development of the region.
The portal will be easy to use, the content will be regularly renewed that will allow facilitating the dissemination of information at the same time serving as a tool for investment and exchange of experiences on existing business opportunities in the region and potential investors.
Also, as a reason to perform the task and the need arises, the future investors to present national and regional policies and measures to support investment and funding opportunities and access to additional sources of financial means.
