Centre for Development of East Planning Region is continuously working on bringing the entrepreneurial spirit among young people, residents of the 11 municipalities in the region. In order to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of young people between the age of 18 and 35, the Centre for Development of the East Planning Region and the Regional Business Center in CDEPR in cooperation with Gestalt Solutions Shtip, started the second School for Innovation and Entrepreneurship held in the municipality Kocani between 30th of March and 03th of April 2016 .

This second School is being held just a few weeks after successfully implemented the first school that in the period March 14th to 18th held in the municipality of Delchevo and which was attended by 30 young current and future entrepreneurs. This first Sschool produced more than 10 ideas for products and services that were developed in a mini business plans and constitute an excellent basis for the participants of this School to convert these business ideas into profitable businesses. Through elaborate descriptions of business ideas, participants will be targeted in what ways can these business ideas be translated into reality.

Following the idea and vision to enable young, talented and ambitious people in the region to upgrade and improve their skills, develop their creativity and entrepreneurial skills, Centre for Development of the East Planning Region and the Regional Business Center in CDEPR in cooperation with Gestalt Solutions, Shtip organized second School, this time in Kochani. This school participants receive conditions in which through lectures, simulations, real-life examples, illustrations, practical exercises and training will have the opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of running a business, entrepreneurship and innovation.

The second School for Innovation and Entrepreneurship was opened by the President of the Council for Development of the East Planning Region, Mr. Ratko Dimitrovski and Head of the Centre for Development of East Planning Region, Mrs. Dragica Zdraveva. School take part in more than 30 young people from the 11th municipalities of the East Planning Region of Shtip, Karbinci Kochani, Zrnovci Makedonska Kamenica, Vinica, Delchevo, Berovo, Pehchevo, Ceshinovo-and Probishtip.

School run by successful entrepreneurs, consultants and experts with extensive experience in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship of Gestalt Solutions Shtip, SI Communication and ZBK Creation, Skopje, as follows:

  • Project manager with an international certificate in project management (PMP, CMC),
  • Mentor with national and international experience in supporting start-ups,
  • Experts and consultants for innovation, project management and marketing, development of networks, mentoring and research project funding
  • Successful representatives from the business sector.

Participants in the School get the opportunity to hear their presentations and lectures and discuss with them on these issues.

And this second School of innovation and entrepreneurship was organized within the project "Establishment of Business Center for support and consulting services for small and medium enterprises in the East Planning Region" which is technically and financially assisted by the Ministry of Local Government and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Within this project the Centre for Development of East Planning Region has organized seven informational and two consultative events for the private sector, in cooperation with Gestalt Solutions Shtip prepared by:

  • Guide for investment in East Planning Region;
  • Program for development and support of the business sector in East Planning Region (2015 - 2020) with an action plan (2015 - 2016);
  • Communication plan to implement the Program for the development and support of the business sector in East Planning Region (2015-2020).

As part of the activities of the Business Center,  was developed an interactive web portal: www.investineastregion.mk with full nformation about investment potentials of the East Planning Region.
