On the 20th of July 2018 the sixth session of the Council for development of the East planning region in the municipality of Berovo was held.
The session was attended by the Minister of Local Self-Government Mr. Suheil Fazliu, the Director of the Regional Development Bureau Mr. Ramiz Rexhepi, the representative of the UNDP in Macedonia, Mrs. Louisa Vinton, as well as representatives from the University "Goce Delchev" in Stip and the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
The meeting was given consent for the establishment of Interregional Technology Park in the East and Vardar Planning Region. The adoption of this consensus was preceded by a brief presentation by a representative from the University "Goce Delchev" from Stip, who emphasized the most important social benefits of such parks, presented the possible scenarios for the shape of the future park, as well as the steps that follow in the process of its establishment.
The Council of the East Planning Region chose a priority project by which the Center will apply for a grant network to support the UNDP-funded Development Centers for Development, which is intended to improve municipal governance.
At the session, the Programme for capital subsidies for development of the planning regions in the field of agriculture and rural development was presented, ie the projects that were submitted for financing by the Center were presented at the proposal of the municipalities.
The Mayors discussed the Programme for Financial Support of the Rural Development for 2018, and through the consultative approach selected the project proposals that will be submitted for financing.
